Camera bubble PIP, mic enablement, and real-time pause/play/continue controls are standard here. Craft professional videos without the clunky interface of traditional software.
Record in different qualities: 720p, 1080p, or high-fidelity 2K for professional demos. Our engine ensures high-frame-rate capture that looks sharp on any display.
Set your file extension as you like: MKV, WebM, or even export directly to high-quality MP3. Perfect for sharing on YouTube, LinkedIn, or internal Slack channels.
Your data belongs to you. Videos are written directly to your local workspace, meaning no third-party cloud is storing your sensitive internal demos or confidential meetings.

Yes. Recording, trimming and saving are free with no account, no credit card, no install, no watermark and no time limits. Cloud sync and shareable links need a free Google sign-in. Paid plans for branding and team features are planned, but nothing you use today moves behind them.
The recorder core is open source under the MIT licence at github.com/uzairkath/gravityRecorder — the canvas compositor, the webcam overlay, the direct-to-disk capture. You can read it, fork it, or run it yourself. The hosted studio here adds things the core repo does not have, like the trim editor, shareable links and Drive sync, and that is where paid features will eventually live. So: open-source core, hosted product on top. We would rather say that plainly than call the whole thing open source and have you find out otherwise.
No. You can record as long as you want and as many videos as you want. There are no artificial limits on recording duration, file count, or storage capacity. Your local disk space is your only limit.
None. Gravity works directly in your web browser using modern web APIs. You don't need to download an .exe file or install a browser extension—making it the most secure and instant recording experience possible.
Not to record. Recording, trimming and saving to your own disk all work signed out — there is nothing to create, no email to hand over, and no limits. A free Google sign-in is only needed for the parts that genuinely require an account: syncing a recording to your Google Drive, creating a shareable link, and carrying your studio settings across devices. You will only ever be asked at the moment you use one of those.
You can record in different qualities including 720p, 1080p, and even professional 2K (1440p) video quality. You can also customize your file extension to MKV, WebM, or even export as high-bitrate MP3 for podcasts.
Unlike Loom or Tella, Gravity saves your videos directly to your local workspace using the File System Access API. This gives you absolute privacy and control over your data; your videos never leave your machine unless you choose to upload them to Google Drive.
Just go to the studio and click on the start button and you are good to go. Record as many videos as you want, as long as you want.
